With the debut of Drive-E technology, Volvo introduces an all-new engine family, a new transmission and ECO+ fuel-saving functionality. Drive-E delivers remarkably efficient operation without compromising the driving experience.
The lineup begins with the XC60 T5 Drive-E equipped with a new 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with direct-injection and front-wheel drive, resulting in 240 horsepower and 258 lbs.-ft. of torque.
Moving up to the XC60 T6 Drive-E delivers even greater performance potential. This version of the 2.0-liter engine is fitted with both a turbocharger and a supercharger with 302 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque.
Drive-E engines are teamed with an all-new, highly efficient eight-speed "Geartronic" automatic transmission. This transmission is designed to deliver smooth shifts for excellent drivability as well as reduced noise.
For midyear 2015.5, the new T5 AWD with its turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine developing 240 horsepower and 266 lb.-ft. of torque replaces the previous 3.2 AWD naturally aspirated model. A standard six-speed "Geartronic" automatic transmission teams with All-Wheel Drive with Instant Traction.
Moving up to XC60 T6 AWD results in an impressive blend of outstanding performance and value. Output for its 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine is 300 horsepower and 325 lb.-ft. of torque. All-Wheel-Drive with Instant Traction and six-speed automatic are also standard.
At the top of the XC60 lineup is the T6 AWD R-Design. This model targets enthusiasts with a substantial performance upgrade. Its 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder delivers 325 horsepower and 354 lb.-ft. of torque.
